Based in the Cotswolds, Stroud brewery commenced brewing in May 2006 and has won numerous awards in the last five years for their ales, which are all made from the finest Cotswold grown malt and whole hops. In 2011 the brewery moved into a larger and better equipped brewhouse giving them the opportunity to develop a range of organic and seasonal ales.
Stroud are keen supporters of their local economy and are inspired by the unique cultural heritage of Stroud. Budding, their most popular award winning ale, was named after Edwin Beard Budding of Thrupp, Stroud who invented the lawnmower in 1830. Tom Long, also available with beer4home, is named after a mythical highwayman who was hung at Tom Longs post on Minchinhampton Common near Stroud.
Stroud offer vegan versions of their ales. If you require the vegan option please ensure you select "Yes" in the Vegan Ale choice category when placing your order.
